News Around The District

Join us over Veterans Day week – November 9th through the 17th, 2019 – as the Rotary Club of Georgetown hosts the 3rd Annual Field of Honor® at the Activity Field in San Gabriel Park on Chamber Way.

It is a stunning display of over 1500 full-size U.S. flags, each of which can be purchased and dedicated to a veteran or first responder for a donation of $40 per flag. Those who have already bought flags can bring them back anytime during that week (flags must be in perfect condition) to re-post for only $20.

This past Thursday Oct 17th, members of the Rotary Club of Temple South had the privilege of listening to Mayor Timothy Davis at the city council meeting. During the meeting Mayor Davis Proclaimed Oct 24th 2019 as World Polio Day for the City of Temple. Jinger Pajestka, Club President even had the chance to talk briefly about Rotary and what the Club does in the community.
