The Rotary Club of Austin-Southwest supplied building supplies and teamed up with Texas Ramp Project to help build a wheelchair ramp at a home on the outskirts of Austin recently. Qualifying applicants are provided with an extremely sturdy, up-to-code, wheelchair ramp for access to exit and enter their homes safely. The owner of this home had to have her wheelchair carried down steps to leave her house.

This powerful partnership helps bridge the gap between education and the workforce by equipping young people with job readiness training, financial literacy, interview skills, and professional development before connecting them with real-world internship experiences.
On June 4, the Rotary Club of Temple dedicated a Rotary Peace Pole as a symbol of hope, unity, and our shared commitment to a better world. It was installed at the historic Jackson Park, where Temple Rotarians installed a fountain in 1935. The Temple club’s historical marker honoring its 100th anniversary in 2021 also is at the park.
