Two Austin NxNE Rotary members recently returned from a trip to the Philippines, where they helped deliver microscopes and other essential school supplies to elementary schools. The supplies were purchased with funds raised by Austin NxNE Rotarians through the club’s Sunshine Basket.
What began as small contributions from members has now turned into a meaningful opportunity to support students and educators thousands of miles away.
The microscopes and school supplies will provide valuable educational resources for elementary students, helping teachers create hands-on learning experiences and giving students the tools they need to explore science and the world around them.
This is a wonderful example of how Rotary members can turn simple acts of generosity into meaningful service. Through the Sunshine Basket, Austin NxNE Rotarians are not only supporting one another within the club—they are also making an impact in communities around the world.
