Rotary District 5870 Central Texas presented Baylor Scott & White Health a check Tuesday in the amount of $29, 994.50 to be used for much needed Personal Protection Equipment for staff and personal of its local hospitals and clinics during this COVID 19 pandemic.

The Rotary Club of Flatonia has completed its District Assisted Project (DAP) for the Rotary year, 2019-2020. Club President, Bernie Satterwhite, chose this project in early 2019, even before his year started July 1, 2019.
South Austin Rotary provided breakfast to the APD South Station and Sunset Valley PD as way to show their support. The 6 o’clock-ish hour was decided upon because there is a shift change and that way the people coming off and the people coming on would both get to participate in the enjoyment of the food.

Twenty-five high school seniors in McLennan County were recognized for their volunteerism and service in the 40th annual Youth Citizenship Awards sponsored by the Rotary Club of Waco and the Tribune-Herald.
Reveal Resource Center is a nonprofit food pantry and clothes closet serving over 400 low-to-moderate income families weekly. This represents 1,300 to 1.500 people. Rotarian Linda Starnes serves as the pantry’s Executive Director. Linda commented, “each week Real Resource Center distributes 15,000 to 20,000 pounds of food with the help of volunteer ‘servants’.
Lakeway/ Lake Travis Rotary Club started a local community project to support local businesses and honor first responders throughout the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
