World Immunization Week is quickly approaching! Has your club planned how it will observe this important public health event? Rotary and our partners commemorate World Immunization Week, 24-30 April every year, to raise awareness of the importance of vaccination and highlight the success of our polio eradication efforts.
Rotarians across District 5870 are invited to attend District Assembly on April 18, the District’s annual Club Leader Training designed to help clubs prepare for a successful 2026–27 Rotary year.
Rotary Clubs across our District have been shining this year through the Rotary Rockstar Challenge, showcasing creativity, community connection, and powerful storytelling through their public image efforts. With six levels of challenges, this initiative was designed to help Clubs increase visibility, celebrate impact, and inspire engagement—and it’s been exciting to see the results!
Thank you to the many Rotarian women and clubs across our District who participated in the Women in Rotary in Action campaign throughout the month of March. The campaign invited Rotarian women to share photos proudly wearing their Rotary shirts as a way to celebrate International Women’s Day and the incredible women who serve through Rotary.
The Rotary Club of Georgetown recently completed another Peace Garden installation, this time at Village Elementary, continuing a meaningful tradition that has become a recognizable symbol across the community.

This weekend, the Rotary Club of Austin proudly completed our 11th year partnering with Rise Against Hunger: a global nonprofit working to end hunger through nutrition, education, and community-driven volunteer efforts.
Together with fellow Rotarians, friends, and volunteers, including members of the South Austin Rotary Club, we packaged 23,000 meals for families facing food insecurity around the world.
Participating in Rotary Service Texas Day, members of the Rotary Club of Marble Falls stepped into action to serve their community in a meaningful, hands-on way. Focusing their efforts locally in Marble Falls, Rotarians, Interactors, and volunteers came together to rebuild a deck for a family in need, ensuring they can safely enter and exit their home while also creating a welcoming space where they can gather, connect, and make lasting memories.
Last Saturday, Bastrop Rotary & friends delivered & installed 20 beds for area kids who otherwise would be sleeping on the floor. The Club partnered with Austin's University Area Rotary Club & with volunteers from the Church of Latter Day Saints to make children and families very happy!
In celebration of Service Texas Day, members of the Killeen Heights Rotary Club came together to create a welcoming new space for learning and connection in their community by installing a Free Mini Library and a community bench.
Seven Austin NxNE Rotarians and friends worked at the St. Louis King of France Catholic Church food bank on Service Texas Day. They helped package food and hand it out to Austinites that drove up that day. We helped approximately 200 families received food that day.
More than 50 volunteers from across Central Texas came together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local children during a recent service project hosted by the Rotary Club of Temple. Partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace – TX, Bell County, volunteers spent the day building beds for children who currently do not have a bed of their own.
On Service Texas Day, members of our Rockdale Rotary Club came together with a shared purpose, to give back in a way that truly matters. At the MARC Center, a place that provides vital support and care for individuals with disabilities, volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work. What may have looked like simple gardening and cleaning flower beds quickly became something much more meaningful.

On March 28, 2026, members of the Rotary Club of Northwest Austin volunteered at the Round Rock Area Serving Center as part of Service Texas Day. Our volunteers worked across multiple areas of the facility — unloading and sorting incoming donation drop-offs from community members, processing and organizing bags of donated goods, cleaning and stocking shelves in the Treasures Clothing Store & Boutique, and helping organize product displays throughout the storefront so clients can easily find what they need.

The Rotary Club of Georgetown recently hosted its ninth annual Field of Honor Celebration, welcoming nearly 200 Rotarians, community leaders, and award recipients who helped make this year’s Field of Honor possible.
