Green Steps - Supporting the Environment with Butterfly Garden
Rotarians Linda Tyler and Sophie Downs highlighted the importance of having a native plant butterfly garden during the September Rotary Meeting as an important way to support the environment. They are shown working in the Butterfly Garden at Pecan Springs. The garden was designed by Linda Tyler and planted by Rotarians and teachers.

We are excited to continue our long tradition of collecting Coats for Kids Southwest in conjunction with the Travis County West Rural Center.  The West Rural Center is a non-profit run by volunteers that supports the Travis County Community Center in Oak Hill.

Rotary Club of Harker Heights (Satellite) Pet Adoption Project
The Rotary Club of Harker Heights-Satellite’s Rotary 2021-2022 1st Quarter Project was to conduct, for the 2nd Year in a row, a community involved project to raise funds and donations of pet supplies & money for the Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center.

EAFK Student Orientation
Sir Cass kicked off the beginning of EAFK at Jarrell Elementary and let the kids know how Knights use their armor. Jarrell Elementary is sponsored by the RC of Georgetown Sun City.
Waco Habitat for Humanity
Members of Waco Sunrise Rotary Club and Lake Brazos Rotary Club met with other volunteers to put up walls, frame the front porch, and wrap a Habitat House for a local Waco family.  The home is just one of 7 planned by Waco Habitat for Humanity during 2021.

We had to say a final goodbye to John Burton Roberts who passed away September 4, 2021. John was a much loved member of the West Austin Rotary.
