Have you ever wondered why you haven’t received any Lead candidates from the D5870 Membership Chair? 

In an effort to attract new members who may not be a fit for the traditional Rotary club and to bring back former Rotarians who have left due to financial, work, or family conflicts, Rl has created new club formats that will appeal across a wide range of interests and lifestyles, including the Passport Clubs.

Rotarians Linda Tyler and Sophie Downs highlighted the importance of having a native plant butterfly garden during the September Rotary Meeting as an important way to support the environment. They are shown working in the Butterfly Garden at Pecan Springs. The garden was designed by Linda Tyler and planted by Rotarians and teachers.

We are excited to continue our long tradition of collecting Coats for Kids Southwest in conjunction with the Travis County West Rural Center.  The West Rural Center is a non-profit run by volunteers that supports the Travis County Community Center in Oak Hill.

The Rotary Club of Harker Heights-Satellite’s Rotary 2021-2022 1st Quarter Project was to conduct, for the 2nd Year in a row, a community involved project to raise funds and donations of pet supplies & money for the Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center.  

We had to say a final goodbye to John Burton Roberts who passed away September 4, 2021. John was a much loved member of the West Austin Rotary.
