An E-Club is a full-fledged regular Rotary Club.  We have a board and officers.  We support the foundation, have local and global service projects, believe in the 4 way test, participate on the district level, and meet regularly.
But we are different.  E-Clubs came into being for Rotarians who cannot meet in person on a weekly schedule.  Many need more flexibility than the weekly tradition provides.  We meet for monthly meetings by zoom.  Our board and club committees meet by zoom.  Many people have found they can work remotely, and Rotarians can do the same.  Many members frequently travel and in an E-Club they can be anywhere and still participate in club activities.

Rotary E-Club of Central Texas (rotaryeclubcentex.org) is a “Flexible, Friendly, Fun Rotary Family” that was started pre pandemic, 6 years ago.  We rely on email, Facebook, Twitter and phone calls in order to stay connected.   Our current members are in Texas, New Mexico, Virginia, Georgia and Rhode Island. Some are part time in Minnesota, Indiana and New Mexico, and some travel for their jobs.
Rotary E-Club of 5870 supports RYLA, Interact, EAFK, DAP grants and have partnered in several Global Grants in Nepal, Ethiopia, Liberia, and others.  E-Club recently began Green Steps to monthly focus on supporting the environment, and a committee is developing a 4-Way Test Speech Contest for high school students.  Some service projects include Mobile Food Drive, planting a butterfly garden at Pecan Springs Elementary and a tree seedling giveaway.   The Rotary E-Club’s culture supports the Rotary Foundation and is a 100% Paul Harris Club.

The attraction for Rotarians to the Rotary E-Club is service without having to attend weekly meetings and paying for a meal.  Rotary E-Club does have socials both on zoom and in person.  The club will have a fun Bat Cruise social-fundraiser April 7, 2022.

E-Clubs were new to Rotary in 2015, and they now exist all over the world.
