The Rotary Club of Temple focused a lot of attention in February on the scourge of human trafficking by scheduling two speakers at club meetings in addition to sponsoring the anti-human trafficking trailer at the Bell County Expo Center.
Dudley Bourne from Operation Underground Railroad spoke Feb. 10 on its work around the world to rescue survivors. The group works with local law enforcement in multiple countries to secure the arrest of the criminals responsible.  For more information go to https://ourrescue.org

James Moore from Truckers Against Trafficking, scheduled for Feb. 24 but postponed due to icy roads, speaks about how the organization trains truckers on how to spot and identify the signs someone is being trafficked. They work with members in the trucking, bus and energy industries who serve as eyes and ears on the nation’s highways. For more information go to https://truckersagainsttrafficking.org

On Feb. 5, the club provided Rotary volunteers for the Global Communications International anti-human trafficking trailer while it was at the Bell County Expo Center on the opening day of the Bell County Youth Fair.
