South Austin Rotary supports a soup kitchen at a 170 bed transitional housing facility in southeast Austin. Christmas day there saw a big splurge meal for more than 100 residents and some folks living in some nearby homeless camps.
South Austin Rotary member Mickie Powers and two residents Billy and Dave helped serve food to the folks lined up outside in the courtyard. Adrian, the wonderful cook, smoked brisket and made all the trimmings before leaving to be with his family for the afternoon.
