Operation Vacation January

The Rotary Club of Austin and Killeen in partnership with Austin Hotel Lodging Association, Greater Austin Restaurant Association, Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau and Around Austin, Inc. greeted another military family from Ft. Hood for a weekend of fun in Austin through Operation Vacation . SFC David Hunt and his three children, Sananda(15), Dhaelon(16) and Mason (6 months) were hosted by the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel. The children’s mom is stationed in Afghanistan. The family enjoyed dinner at the Roaring Fork and The County Line and the children spent Saturday at Austin’s Park playing video games, driving motor cars and playing miniature golf. What a great way to say thank you for the sacrifices these families make while their parents serve our country and keep us safe.
