Our club kicked off Polio Plus with a Back to School and New Member Social in August at Bear King Brewing in Marble Falls! We held an “Arm and a Leg” ticket purchase to have a “CHANCE TO WIN” half the collection!
! This is done by measuring the length of your arm with tickets for $10 or the length of your leg for $20. At the end of the event, one ticket is chosen from the pool and that winner takes half the funds collected! The lucky winner at the first drawing was none other than our Past District Governor, Rick Stacy! He returned the money to go toward the Polio Plus effort!

We met at The House of Cheese for our Pints for Polio on September 30th. A fun time was had with wine and cheese tasting and members leaving with their “pints” to fill with dollars for the Polio Plus gathering at the end of the month. Again, the “Arm and a Leg” ticket pull was held and this time our past President Steve Hurst won! Steve graciously returned his half to the growing Polio Plus fund! Seems being in a leadership position in Rotary helps your odds at winning!

We will be collecting the Pints with member’s collections of jingling coins and fluttering bills at the end of October, supporting Rotary’s fight with eradicating Polio once and for all!
