On Saturday at 10am the Marble Falls Rotary commemorated its 19th Day of Remembrance Ceremony.   Lorinda Peters, President of the Rotary Club of Marble Falls opened the ceremony.
Reading the history of “ringing the bell” for fallen fire fighters, a time honored tradition across the USA, was Horseshoe Bay Assistant Fire Chief Stephanie Black.  Ringing the bell to honor the fallen fire fighters was Rotarian Russell Sander, the Marble Falls Fire Chief.  The event was held in Johnson Park in Marble Falls, Veterans and First Responders Memorial Park (a park made possible through Rotary DAP Grants).  Attending were over 60 Marble Falls First Responders.  Rotarian Steve Hurst read the prayer for all firefighters and first responders. The ceremony closed with Lorinda Peters playing Amazing Grace to honor the fallen.
