The Rotary Clubs of Austin and Killeen gave the Alvarado military family from Ft. Hood a complimentary weekend in Austin. The Killeen Rotary arranged a rent car through Toyota and gave the family spending money.
The Rotary Club of Austin gave them gift bags with fast food gift cards and a day of fun at Austin Parks along with a special night stay at an Austin hotel. The County Line on the Lake treated them to an incredible BBQ feast with all the trims. Little did we know how much this family needed this special break. The wife had given birth during Covid and since they were both military they have been dealing with all the unrest at Ft. Hood. So this unique weekend came just at the right time for them to feel the extra love and support. A great way to show our Military we care!
