Foundation Dinner Recap
The foundation dinner was a huge success! Over 30,000 dollars was raised for the foundation thru an awesome silent auction with amazing items like the highest bid item a private chef dinner for six from Chef Heidi Wittenborn of Austin Centennial Club, and the exciting live auction with incredible items including a Crystal Cruise to Alaska which raised 10,000 dollars alone.
383 Rotarians and their guests attended this special celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Rotary Foundation at the beautiful Sheraton Austin Downtown.
The gala was full of fun, fellowship, laughter and a celebration of the amazing work Rotary District 5870- Central Texas does for the community and for The Rotary Foundation's 100 years of amazing works felt around the World.
The major donor reception was a huge success set with a backdrop of an awesome view of Downtown Austin with live music playing, drinks pouring, donors reconnecting with fellow Rotarians and celebrating our districts success and the 100th Anniversary of TRF.
We had the distinct honor to have State Rep Paul Workman present the declaration from Texas Speaker Joe Straus that the State House of Representatives honor and declare Rotary District 5870- Central Texas and TRF for all the work we do.
We also had the distinct privilege of hearing from Rotary Foundation Chair Elect Paul Neztel who was excited to be in Longhorn country ha.
Also we honored all of the Major Donors and Paul Harris fellows from this year so far! It truly was an amazing night honoring all the great work we Rotarians do for the world, that everyone from Rotary District 5870- Central Texas should be proud of!
