The District Governor Selection Committee, comprised of fifteen members appointed by DG Gene Holiman to equally represent grouped clubs in fifteen geographic sectors within District 5870, each comprising approximately the same numbers of Rotarians, met in Georgetown on Saturday, March 17, with three candidates nominated for the position of DG 2020-21. After extensive interviews, the committee voted to recommend Rick Stacy of the Marble Falls Rotary Club as their selection.

Per the printed selection guidelines available on the District 5870 website, any formal written objections from the clubs which formally submitted candidates for consideration, must be received within 30 days (prior to April 20) by District Governor Gene Holiman. Pending the resolution of any objections, Rick will officially begin his governing track as District Governor-designate April 20, then automatically become the District Governor Nominee on July 1, 2018.

We offer our congratulations to Rick and thank him for his continuing contributions to the growth and strength of District 5870 of Central Texas and wish him well in the new chapter of his Rotary leadership.
