The microcredit loans will help stimulate successful and sustainable self-employment which will contribute to a better local economy and the reduction of the crime rate in our community.

At least 120 women entrepreneurs will benefit from the microcredit loans in each of two cycles. Overall, the global grant will benefit approximately 240 women, their families, and the community.  Some women (about 90 of the 120) will receive loans individually and others will receive them as a group of women in the same family business.  By providing training and micro loans for women entrepreneurs we will enhance their ability to have a successful and sustainable business. This leads to increased income, personal development, increased self-esteem, and better overall economic stability. In doing so, the local economy improves, poverty rates decrease, and related criminal activity will be reduced.
