The Rotary Club of Bastrop County has been busy making partners and serving our community.
We have an ongoing relationship with In the Streets Hands Up High that supports our community with short-term food insecurity services, residential programs, employment readiness, and addiction support for our homeless and disabled Veteran population. We also partnered with Bastrop Independent School District for students to design and build bicycle racks. We believe our future RYLA leaders will come from our involvement with the local schools and clubs.Our upcoming significant fundraising event will be an internationally sanctioned BBQ, the Lost Pines BBQ Showdown, held in Smithville at Riverbend Park on May 28. There will be silent and live-hybrid online auctions and cookers of all ages competing. Donations are always appreciated and directly support our community.
