The Rotary Club of Austin came together this summer to help some of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors beat the Texas heat by raising $1,000 for the Family Eldercare Summer Fan Drive.
Thanks to the generosity of our members, the donation purchased 50 new fans that will provide life-saving relief to older adults and individuals with disabilities living in homes without adequate air conditioning.
For more than 35 years, the Summer Fan Drive has helped protect thousands of Central Texans from dangerous summer temperatures, proving that a simple fan can make a life-changing difference. We are proud to support this important community initiative and grateful to every member who contributed to this meaningful effort to keep our neighbors safe, healthy, and cool.
The drive is still underway until September 15th, and Family Eldercare welcomes additional fan sponsors and donations to help reach even more Central Texans in need.
