The Youth Services Committee of District 5870 is committed to protecting the youth of our district in the various programs that we sponsor.
In an effort to provide the highest quality of care and service to our youth we encourage all Rotarians that volunteer regularly with EAFK, Interact, Youth Exchange, RYLA, and other youth-based club projects to complete the Boy Scouts of America Youth Protection Training. It’s free and easy to register and complete! https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/
This training will not only give Rotarians the information they need to protect the youth they serve, but also to protect themselves when working with this vulnerable population.

In efforts to be proactive in all youth services planning and implementation the district is creating a task force to implement our Crisis Management Plan for Youth. This team of people will include district leaders and youth experts to plan for and mitigate crisis that occur within our youth programs. RI has issued a deadline for this plan and team by July 2022. We are still in need of an attorney and a social worker or a youth counselor to complete our team. If you are interested in helping serve the youth of our district in this specific way please reach out to Ashley Rodriguez for more information. ashleyfay09@gmail.com or 361-293-0700.
