See Rotary’s float on ABC, NBC, HGTV and Hallmark Channel Tuesday January 1 at 10 am. Pasadena’s Tournament of Roses Parade dates back to 1890. The Rose Bowl football game was first played in 1902, and has been played annually since 1916. Rotary has had a float in the Rose Parade since 1927. Everybody knows the swoosh stands for Nike and double arches stand for McDonalds. The goal of Rotary’s Rose Parade Float Committee is for everyone viewing the parade to understand that the Rotary wheel is worn by business executives, professionals and civic leaders with high ethical standards who are members of Rotary Clubs advancing international understanding and goodwill. Parade commentators tell the Rotary message while our float passes the reviewing stand. Let your family hear them praise our effort to eradicate polio from the planet.
