The Rotary Club of Marble Falls new community giving program is providing local charities a chance to fulfill their goals in 2015. As a result the club has given out a number of cash awards for projects for a variety of local needs.

Among the largest has been a $27,750 grant to the Boys and Girls Club of the Highland Lakes for a portion of their facilities upgrades to their Marble Falls facility. The award was presented to Boys and Girls club president Randal Dahl by Rotary Club of Marble Falls president Mendy Ritche at the club’s December 11th meeting.

Other awards given recently were a $5000 grant to the Highland Lakes SPCA for a dog run at it’s new facility, $2000 to the Literacy Council of the Highland Lakes for new laptop computers,$2999 for new equipment at Camp of the Hills, $1500 to the Helping Center for Christmas Turkeys and $999 to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Highland Lakes for a new laptop and printer.
