District Governor 2015-2016

District Governor-Nominee Selection - Official Notice:

I am very pleased to announce that the District Governor Nominating Committee Chaired by PDG Tom Chamberlain has selected Melinda Osburn, Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis as District 5870's nominee for Governor of Rotary year 2015-2016. Please join me in congratulating Melinda as we pledge our support and best wishes to her and Tim as they begin this wonderful journey.

Would also like to sincerely thank PDG Tom and his dedicated committee members for their hard work and thoroughness in this very important process. There were four OUTSTANDING candidates that were nominated by their clubs, and each is well qualified and thoroughly dedicated to serve. We can all take pride that our District has such skilled and talented leaders dedicated to the work of Rotary, and willing to make the commitment to serve as Governor.

In accordance with District Resolution 3, Sections 13 and 14 if there is any club "whose candidate was not selected by the Nominating Committee, may resubmit, by club resolution at a regular meeting this name as a candidate for the office of District Governor-Nominee. Such resolution shall be in the hand of the District Governor within 30 days after notice of the selection of the committee..........." if a club resubmits the name of their nominee then the Governor Nominee would be selected at the District Conference business meeting scheduled for afternoon Jun 1, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines in Bastrop.
